About the Artist
Katy Meyer’s work has been described as ‘alive with color and depth.’ Nature is a favorite inspiration of this artist. Meyer says, “Nothing can compare to the light catching luminosity of the silk fiber and fun of seeing the dye spread and blend into an exciting composition. Working with color is a reward in itself; it is a way to express myself and to bring joy to others.”
As a teenager Katy won a National business competition and became an entrepreneur designing, creating and marketing her silk paintings and hand painted scarves to corporations, organizations, individual clients and retail stores. Katy Meyer’s framed silk paintings hang in office buildings, hospitals and residences.
Her commissions include working with commercial interior designers, non-profit organizations, and individuals.
